Based on your vast experience, the best popcorn oil is…?
We just bought an old-fashioned popcorn maker (you know, the kind with the kettle that uses oil and raw corn kernels…)
On the advice of the store clerk, we didn’t buy the orange-colored butter-flavored oil.
At home, we used sunflower oil and also light vegetable oil, but I was wondering what the best (and safest!) oil was. Olive? Peanut? Safflower? Grapeseed? What have you tried?

Mm… I like this one. http://styleasy.info/454657/sunflower-oil
movie theaters use coconut oil (NO, it doesn’t smell like coconut!). it’s why their popcorn tastes so good! coconut is not expensive, but can be trickier to find, especially in small quantities.
i absolutely do not recommend using safflower or grapeseed – TOO expensive and unsuited for the purpose. from your list, i’d reach for the peanut oil or olive oil.
